Ringling brothers circus … 14 years later

We went to the circus this weekend! It’s been 14 years since I’ve been to the circus.
After being snowed out of our original show, braving the crowds of Peta Protesters, exchanging our tickets, taking three escalators & a flight of stairs up … we finally made it to our seats! *Whew*
Atlanta was hit with 3+ inches of snow, which is a big deal around here. So we had to miss our 11am showing because we couldn’t get out of the neighborhood! We originally had some great seats, but we (along with everyone else in Atlanta that missed their show because of snow) had to exchange tickets for whatever was available. Unfortunately that meant nosebleed!
But it didn’t matter, we were at the circus!! Evan ate some popcorn.
And Megan played with light toys.
They both loved the animals – primarily the tigers, elephants, zebras & horses. I think I liked dogs the best. Who knew dogs were in the circus these days?? I didn’t, but they can do some awesome tricks! And can I just say circus people are both amazing and crazy all at the same time! The acrobats and tricks are just insane. I mean really, how does one walk a rope several stories into the air, jump through a ring of fire and actually agree to being shot from a cannon??? See? Amazing. And Crazy.
And most importantly we got our “after” picture.
Do you live in the Atlanta area? If so, use coupon code MOM for special pricing – $44 for a 4 pack of tickets M-F or $4 off Friday night & Weekend shows!
*Disclosure – I am a Family Field Activator for this event. My family is receiving a complimentary 4-pack of tickets. I am not obligated to blog about this event; however, in exchange for the tickets I have been asked to spread the word (online &/or off) about the event & about the discount code.

The Georgia Aquarium is the World’s Largest Aquarium, so it’s only fitting that it’s hosting the world debut of the Exhibition “Planet Shark: Predator or Prey”. Earlier last week, I was so happy to be on Twitter at the right time (oh Twitter, how I love thee) because I saw a tweet for an invitation More >

This past weekend we went to the circus. Even though I’ve grown up here & lived in the Atlanta area my entire life, I really don’t go downtown all that often. But driving through the streets I was reminded of all the great places right at my fingertips to take the kids.

Megan’s recently learned the animal sound for an elephant. Which is perfect timing because on Saturday all four of us are going to the circus!! It’s been years since I’ve been to the circus. It’s actually been 14 years!
The year was 1996 and the four lovely people in that photo from L-R are Me, My More >
