Hershey bar pie

Hershey Bar Pie
This is one of the absolute easiest pies I’ve ever made. I remember it as a very young child. It’s also one of those I could make as a newlywed that knew how to make absolutely nothing and still look somewhat impressive!!
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 big almond Hershey bar, melted
1 large Cool Whip
1 Chocolate Crumb Pie Crust
Here’s what you’ll do:
Mix melted Hershey Bar and Cool Whip together in a bowl. Pour in a pie crust. Let set a few hours in fridge to “set”.
And yep, it’s that easy folks!!
I told you I was impressive – ha!
Do you make a Hershey Bar pie? Do you prefer Almonds or some other flavor??

The Baked Bean Showdown
Have you heard about the Baked Bean Showdown? It’s basically a friendly (I think they’re still friends!) contest between two wonderful bloggers – Once A Month Mom and Amy’s Finer Things. They each think their baked bean recipe is the best.
They stated talking smack on Twitter and the next thing you know, More >

I just made these for the first time this morning. They’ve already been “approved” by Megan, Evan & myself … not to bad!!
The base of this recipe came from The Biggest Loser Cookbook, but I tweaked a couple of things for a variety of different reasons.
Here’s what you’ll need:

Oh it’s perfect for summer!! Even though the chocolate doesn’t seem like it would be light, the cool whip totally makes it that way!! I think it’s a perfect summer time treat:)

My stepdaughter has been looking for dessert recipes, that is her thing when she’s here. I’m printing it out and taping it to her door. I know she’ll love this one.
Thank you!

Just saw this one. Not sure how I missed it – chocolate and pie. Um, YUM!
Question – when you say “Big”, do you mean the thicker one that is sold at the checkout or the really big one that Walmart sells in the candy section for around $1.25?
Thanks!

Ah good question (you can tell by my ingredient lists that I don’t bake often!!) – the big one usually in the back with all the candy! You can use more / less chocolate or cool whip depending on how chocolate-y you want it!

Mmmmm….I made it this evening. Used two regular sized bars (should have used more). When it hit the cold Cool Whip, it didn’t blend and created tiny bits. The kids said it was like Cookies and Cream. In any case, it couldn’t be easier and was a simple, quick, yummy summer dessert. Thanks for tweeting it!

Oh fun! You just made me hungry!! I actually agree with the kids! I like some of the little chocolate bits so I usually won’t melt mine all the way – but either way it’s good! Some people use the Mr. Goodbars or Hershey w/Almonds for the nuts!
