Top ten tuesday … facts about swagbucks

Do you Swagbucks?
If not, you should be. {In my humble opinion} I set up my account probably a year ago but just started using it (consciously) the first part of the year. Shortly after, I gave a one-month Swagbucks Update.
Here’s ten random facts about Swagbucks:
1. It’s totally free money. Earning something for doing something you would be doing anyways. Why wouldn’t you want free money?
2. Searching – It’s the easiest, most natural way to earn Swagbucks. It’s super easy. Instead of “googling” something just “swagbucks it”. Super easy.
2. I officially started “swagbucking” in January 2010. {Late to the band wagon, I know}. I made a goal to pay for Christmas 2010 (or at least make a dent!) with my Swagbucks earning.
3. I’m half-way to my goal. And we’re basically half-way through the year. So I’m right on track.
4. Mega Swagbucks Day – Every Friday is Mega Swagbucks Day, which basically means there’s a greater chance of winning the big bucks! Make sure to make lots of searches on Friday!
5. Swagbuck Surveys -This is a new feature! But it’s pretty cool. It tells you how many surveys are available, how long it should take you & how many Swagbucks you’ll earn.
6. Shop through Swagbucks - Lots of online stores are partnered with Swagbucks. If you start your shopping experience with Swagbucks you’ll earn 2 Swagbucks for every $1. That can add up quickly!
7. Daily Polls – These seem silly but just simply by logging in and voting in the Daily Poll you receive at least one free Swagbuck. Yesterday I said “no I do not have a tattoo” and one second later I had an extra Swagbuck. Not a bad second at work!
8. Birthday Bucks – Make sure you enter your birthday into your account (this is a new feature) and you’ll receive 50 Swagbucks as a birthday gift!!
9. Trade-In Program - You can earn Swagbucks by trading in old cell phones, MP3 Players, Video Games & Consoles.
10. Referrals – Yep, referrals are awesome!! It’s a super quick & easy way to gain the bucks!! So what you waiting for? If you haven’t already – join Swagbucks now.
If you’re already a Swagbucks believer, what did I miss? What’s your favorite way to earn the big bucks??

I signed up a couple of months ago but haven’t done anything with it, I will definitely have to try using it to search especially since I am do that daily, thanks for the tip. I just haven’t maximized swagbucks since it is hard to remember because I also use upromise.

I think that’s the hardest thing – just remembering enough. Upromise is great, so at least you’re getting something. For me, I was just using google before and was so accustom to that I almost had to put a sticky up as a reminder:)

I was also late and started using SB to search in January. Now my question is: what is the best way to redeem my SBs so that I can use them for Christmas shopping (also my goal with it)?

I “bank” them with Amazon. You can purchase the Amazon gift card (450 swagbucks) and then you can store them on an Amazon Gift Card / to your account. That way they’re ready when you need them. I’m going to do a follow up post tomorrow, I think … hopefully that will make more sense!

I use them for amazon as well. I bought a textbook I needed. I ended up pay $1. That included shipping!

When you open up a new window you get a swagbuck. I don’t think it’s every single time, but probably 2x a day…

I Swagbuck but don’t use any of the other features. I probably should! Wow, I never thought of trying to pay for Christmas with Swagbucks. I’m not even close. But, now that you got me motivated, I think I’ll try to pay for some stuff. Neat idea! Thanks for the info

OK, this is why it hasn’t worked for me. If it’s not on my toolbar, I’m never going to use it, and their toolbar takes up an ENTIRE ROW, and that’s a lot of real estate on my laptop screen. I wish I could use it with my Firefox dropdown search thing, but I can’t figure out how, so I just keep using google. : (
