I was looking through my StumbleUpon account and realized I had several “Marshmallow Posts” in my Favorites Account. That strikes me as slightly funny, but hey, if I’ve got a few there’s a good chance someone else is looking for some too. Maybe you perhaps?
Some fun Marshmallow Posts ~
The Gold Medal Marshmallow from How Does She?: A tutorial for a perfect Marshmallow! And possibly the largest that I’ve ever seen!
Eight Ways to Dress Up a Marshmallow from Living Locurto: Even the title of the post is cute, so you know the post itself will be!! I love these ideas – so cute & fairly easy looking!
Homemade Marshmallows from Baking Bites: I don’t even know if I like marshmallows enough to try this, but I just think it would be fun either way!! They look so cute and handmade!!
DIY Smores Kit by Twig & Thistle: These are on my “Christmas To-Make List”. I think it would be fun to receive, don’t you?
Do you have a stumble post? Or a post of your favorite posts? We all call them different things, but let’s link up! I’ll bribe you with tweets of your post and comment love too! Just leave your blog name in the link up below. Please be sure to link to your actual post – not your blog. And remember, the point is that we’re highlighting other people’s posts, so please make sure your post highlights other blogs (and I’ll highlight yours!). Here are some guidelines if you like to read things like that! Feel free to grab the button if you’d like. So I hate to be one to wish time away, but there’s something about being so close to a new season that makes me antsy. And then I start wishing time away! I have to admit I am so ready for cooler weather – blue jeans, falling leaves, hot chocolate, long sleeves & layers! What about you?
A Few Things I’m Looking Forward to this Fall ~
German Chocolate Drizzle Cake from How Does She?: I tend to think of German Chocolate as fall-ish. I don’t know why exactly, maybe it’s because it’s brown – ha! But these girls make it look pretty & tasty all at once!
Football Party Menu from Vanderbilt Wife: You either love football season or you hate it. I’m not sure there’s much middle ground there! I lean towards loving it. I actually enjoy football a lot and I love everything that comes along with it. Plus when it comes on at night, if I’m not interested in the game – I run out and go shopping!! I know my husband will be at home to listen out for the kids so it’s like a free pass!
Boys Camp-out Party as featured at Celebrations at Home: I kind of, sort of, maybe promised my husband we could possibly try to go camping this year (did I give myself enough outs in that sentence). I don’t think he’d let me do anything cute like this, but if he would I totally would!!
OH, and don’t forget I’ve got two super easy giveaways going on right now – Mimi’s Babies Etsy Store Credit and Frito Lay & Labor Day!

So I know I’ve been talking fore-ever about the It’s a {month long} party in my house! We celebrate our son’s birthday, daughter’s birthday and our wedding anniversary within a two week period this month! And today (Saturday), we’re celebrating two of those! It’s Megan’s 2nd Birthday & our 11th Wedding Anniversary. Eleven just sounds old to me!! Ten was exciting, but eleven is officially old!
So, what are we doing today to celebrate? We’re going to a wedding – ha!
I had great expectations for today’s Stumbles. But none of them came to fruition. My goal was to stumble and highlight a bunch of brother / sister combined birthday parties, like what we did this year. The problem? I couldn’t find any!! So instead of giving you links this week, I’m asking if you have any! I’ll give you the ideas & if you’ve ever seen a party like this, let me know! Otherwise I’ll have to eventually have all these for my kids just so I can post about them!!
Brother / Sister Combined Parties I Want to Have (and can’t find blog posts to online) ~
An M&M Birthday Party: I got half of that equation right! Megan obviously starts with an M. I should have named Evan Mason or Matthew just so I could have an M&M Birthday Party. That would truly be so much fun to me!!
A Woody / Jesse Birthday Party: This one combines everything our house loves right now – cowboys, cowgirls & Toy Story!
A Tinker Bell / Peter Pan Birthday Party: This one is probably more so for Megan because Evan hasn’t really jumped on the Peter Pan band wagon, but it would still make for a cute party!!
A Lucy & Linus Birthday Party: Evan & Megan love Charlie Brown and I think a little Retro Style Party would be lots of fun!
So, have you seen any of these in blog world? Surely someone’s thrown an M&M Themed Birthday Party? Why can’t I find any cute blog posts?
A Guest Post You Shouldn’t Miss ~
Double Celebrations – A Guest Post by ohAmanda: I know this is a link to my blog, but the post wasn’t written by me so it’s actually good!! If you have a friend or family member with a December birthday, it’s a must-read!! If you ever have to celebrate to occasions at the same time, it’s a must read!

I’ve been talking the last two weeks about the It’s a {month long} party in my house! We celebrate our son’s birthday, daughter’s birthday and our wedding anniversary within a two week period this month! And smack dab in between those events is my nephew’s birthday. I’m such a great planner, but I obviously didn’t plan this one too hot!!
Now that our party is wrapped up, I’ve been drooling over other parties I’ve found on the world wide web this week.
Parties I Wish I Were Invited To ~
Enchanted Fairy Party as featured by Celebrations at Home: Words can not do this party justice. This is a “must look at” for sure!
Sesame Street Party as featured on Kara’s Party Ideas: Oh how incredibly cute is this!!! I mean, for real! I love all the bright colors & the play on the Letters & Numbers. So Cute!!
Parties I Want to Throw ~
Swap Party as featured by Celebrations at Home: Has anyone ever hosted or attended one of these? I think it would be a lot of fun! But also kind of tricky. I guess you would have to have a lot of people attend so you can have enough variety & also enough sizes to make it work. But my closet is in desperate need of some attention (and my checking account too), so it seems like it would be a win-win!
A Silly Little Toy Story Party by Bella Grace Party Designs: I love her honesty in this – who else would have a silly little party like this, but the daughter of a party designer? I think it’s fun though. Sometimes it’s fun just to party!!
Party Ideas That Are Even Better Than Martha Stewart’s ~
Pre-Scoop Your Ice-Cream by 2 Make Ends Meet: Last week, I linked to a post by Martha Stewart. She was pre-scooping ice-cream for a birthday party. I asked if anyone had ever tried it. “The Queen of the House” form 2 Make Ends Meet, said she grew up with her mom doing that – but only better!! She wrote a post about it this week – be sure to check out her tip that one ups Ms. Martha Stewart herself!

I’ve been talking all this week about the It’s a {month long} party in my house! I won’t be around too much on Saturday because it’s the big birthday party! I won’t be able to combine too many parties for the kids but at this age and this year I figured a combined party was pretty safe. So today we’re celebrating Evan’s 5th Birthday and Megan’s 2nd Birthday with all our friends and family!
And here’s a couple of posts or links that have inspired our party today:
Decorations & Invitations ~
Under the Sea Birthday Party from Celebrations at Home: Staci, my mom and I made our version of this streamer back drop! I really like how it turned out & I’m sure one of us will post about it soon!
Nemo Themed Invitations from MLTCreations: I purchased invitations from this cute little Etsy shop. They went perfect with our swimming and Nemo theme!
Smart Ideas ~
Pre-Scooped Ice Cream from Martha Stewart: Has anyone ever tried this? It’s not a high priority on my list, but if I find the time I think it’s pretty smart!
Foodie Stuff ~
S-W-E-E-T-S from Simply Staci: I’m spoiled rotten having a baker in the family! And once again, Aunt Staci is coming through with one of her cute cupcake creations!

I’ve been LOVING all the Christmas in July post floating around the blog world the last several weeks! You can read some of my past stumbles here and here.
And now a few things I’m highlighting this week:
Decorations & Preparations ~
Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa Craft by Thrifty Decor Chick: I love, love, love this whimsical look! It just makes me smile!!
Holiday Packages from Tom Kat Studio: Did you see that The Tom Kat Studio is having a Christmas in July Sale? All her Holiday Printable Packages are just $5. A steal!
Gift Ideas ~
Messy but Beautiful Artwork by Impress Your kids: I was in love with this as soon as I saw it!! Definitely copying this before the holidays. I’m on the hunt for our perfect verse!
Subway Art from Tatertots & Jello: If you prefer a more modern or clean look (or like me, you prefer both!), then check out this tutorial.
Foodie Stuff ~
Christmas Cookie Kit: This is one of those gift & food combos – the best kind of gift, in my opinion! Doesn’t this just look like it’d be fun to get? I’m thinking a teacher, neighbor or even a child’s friend.
Chocolate Mint Cookies by A Southern Fairytale: Oh I love chocolate & mint & cookies … so combined? Yummy!!

Last week I mentioned that I would reading all the Christmas in July posts that I could find! And thanks to some really great carnivals I have not been disappointed! Now if only I got started on some of those Christmas projects!
Ornaments ~
Playful Partridge by Retro Mama: So cute! And with her great tutorial, even I might be able to pull this off! My Sisterchicks all need one of these!
Monogrammed Ornaments by Embellished Bayou: In all honesty, I doubt I have a steady enough hand to make these look good, but they are so cute! I think they’d make great gifts or just a few on my tree!
Gift Ideas ~
Grandma’s Sweets from How Does She?: I love this idea! And it’s so versatile. I can picture it as a quick and easy Sunday School or Pre-School Teacher Gift too.
Hand-Trees from According to Kelly: So cute!! A grandmother would be crazy not to love this! I wish I had seen this before making my Thanksgiving Tree – I would have totally stolen the “hand idea”.
Foodie Stuff ~
Do It Yourself Smore Kit by Twig & Thistle: So this is really a gift & food combined – the best kind right! I’ve never given our neighbors gifts before, but I just might!! How fun would this be to receive?!?
How to Decorate Christmas Light Cookies by A Southern Fairytale: I’m horrible, absolutely horrible at decorating cookies. But I wish I could pull these off!! I just think they’re fun & whimsical!

Saturday Stumbles
Earlier this week I stopped in Hobby Lobby for a little birthday-bash (both kiddos in August!) planning. And my heart got a little giddy. Not because of the fun summer items out or even the back-to-school things, no none of that. I got giddy because the Christmas Trees were coming out!! Ornaments, decorations and the whole nine yards!! I think this either makes people extremely frustrated or (for people like me) it puts a spring in your step & makes your heart sing!!
I love thinking about Christmas in July! And apparently, I’m not the only one!
The blogging world is all about some Christmas in July too!
So if you’re like me (and if you’re not – well sorry Scrooge!), then you might enjoy some of these fun posts:
Skip to My Lou, A Southern Fairytale, and According to Kelly are all joining forces to bring us a Handmade Holiday: Bake, Craft & Sew Along – How fun is that!! It kicks off this Monday & they have over three dozen bloggers in the loop to give us some inspiration. Should be fun!
TipJunkie is also hosting a Christmas in July extravaganza starting July 18th. And like always, she wants to feature YOU!
And to help your tummy get in the Christmas Spirit, check out this post from Alli-n-Son. She has seven yummy Christmas in July Recipes listed. My stomach is growling!
So, Merry Christmas in July to you!!
And on a personal note …
Thank you everyone for linking up. I’m so happy to read your posts & help spread the love through twitter shout-outs. Thanks for helping our little Saturday Stumbles linky grow!

So, you may have noticed that I’ve been super quiet in Twitter & Blog world this week. I had some scheduled posts run, but other than that I’ve been on vacation!! I’ve had my feet in the sandy beaches of Florida. It’s been wonderful!!
But of course with that means I haven’t read hardly anything! So I’m sure I’ll have plenty to stumble next week, but I’ll have to leave this week to you. Are you ready for the challenge?

If you follow me on Twitter (and if for some crazy reason I don’t follow you back – let me know!), you probably saw a lot of tweets ending in #4tunate. Several bloggers, including myself, got together to support the lovely Jen of 4tunate. I loved watching so many jump on board to give, donate, & tweet! And I got really excited to see other bloggers jump on board & dedicate posts to giving back.
So I’m dedicating my Stumbles this week, to them!
Just a Chick: “A Day in the Life of a Chick that Loves Jesus” … Love this post & the heart of Dedra! Thanks Dedra for linking up & sharing with your readers!
House of Hills: I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy in real life just a few weeks ago! Read her blog a few days & you’ll know she has a big heart! Thanks Kat for linking up & sharing with your readers!
Free Things to Do in Chicago: I love that this blogger took time out of their very niche blog reminding us to “pay it forward” – very inspiring! So thank you for linking up & sharing with your readers!
Giving Up on Perfect: Mary can turn a not-so-perfect weekend into something perfect! Thank you Mary for linking up & sharing with your readers!
And a huge thank you to my readers & friends that gave!! If you’re curious where we are with total – the official numbers will be out next week. Donations are still coming in!!
So, what about you?
